The first round of the annual writing contest sponsored by BookLife and Publishers WeeklyInternational news website of book publishing and bookselling including business news, reviews, bestseller lists, commentaries http://www.publishersweekly.com/ kicked off on April 1.

The BookLife Prize is back and and looking for the next great novel.

Now in its fourth year, the BookLife Prize - a writing contest sponsored by Publishers Weekly and BookLife - will be accepting submissions for its Fiction Contest till August 31, 2019.

Authors may enter unpublished or self-published novels in five categories: Romance/Erotica; Mystery/Thriller; Science Fiction/Fantasy/Horror; General Fiction; and YA/Middle-Grade.

All entrants will receive a Critic's Report, a brief critical assessment of their book written by a Publishers Weekly reviewer; the grand-prize winner will receive a $5,000 writing stipend and be profiled in Publishers Weekly. Additionally, the finalists from each category will receive a social media marketing package from BookBaby worth $1,000.
