The Master Plan

In the beginning was the plan

And then came the assumptions

And the assumptions were without form

And the plan was completely without substance

And darkness was upon the face of the workers.

And they spake unto the supervisors, saying

‘It is a crock of shite and it stinketh’

And the supervisor went unto the section heads and sayeth

‘It is a pail of dung and none of us may abide the odour’

And the section heads went unto their managers and said

‘It is a container of excrement and it is very strong’

And the managers went unto their directors and saying

‘It is a vessel of fertiliser and none may abide its strength'

And the directors went unto the managing director explaining

‘It contains that which aids plant growth and is very strong’

And the managing director went unto the chairman saying unto him

‘It promoteth growth and is very powerful’

And the chairman considered the plan and told the Board

‘This powerful new plan will promote growth within the company’

And the Board looked upon the plan and saw that it was good

       And the plan became policy.
